手術成績を調べると2020年で外来を中断されている方達が多いと感じます。先日も外来を中断していた方が破裂で救急来院。特に解離性大動脈瘤は一度治療しても再度、別の部位が拡大することも稀ではない。一度破裂してしまうと手術に辿り着いたしても合併症リスクは10倍になるので外来には是非来ていただきたい。
Looking at surgical outcomes, I’ve noticed that many patients stopped coming to outpatient visits in 2020. Just the other day, a patient who had stopped their outpatient follow-ups was rushed to the emergency room due to a rupture. Especially with dissecting aortic aneurysms, even after treatment, it’s not uncommon for another part of the aorta to enlarge. Once it ruptures, even if surgery is performed, the risk of complications increases tenfold. That’s why it’s crucial for patients to continue coming to their outpatient visits.
