Dr Jacques Tomasi came from France for a six-month short stay at the KAC. He mainly wants to learn about TAAA surgery. We are very happy to have new colleagues. We will do our best to pass on aortic surgery to the next generation without borders.
昨日は胸腹部大動脈人工血管置換が終わる頃、ショック状態の傍腎動脈腹部大動脈瘤破裂の患者さんが搬送され、緊急手術。それが終わる頃A型解離とB型解離の患者さんが運ばれてきました。やはり冬は大動脈緊急疾患が増えます。
Yesterday, as we were finishing TAAAR, a patient with a ruptured juxtarenal AAA was referred to our center and operated using a type IV TAA approach. Subsequently, a patient with acute type B dissection and acute type A dissection was brought to our center for surgery.
第190回日本胸部外科学会関東甲信越地方会に座長として参加させて頂きました。 どこの病院も困難な症例を克服するのに色んな方法を使っていました。奥は深いです。
I participated in the 190th Kanto Koshinetsu Regional Meeting of the Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery as moderator. Every hospital used various methods to overcome difficult cases. It takes a long time to master the quintessence.
昨日、大動脈外科医はレジデントと看護師と一緒に、ウェットラボを行いました。ブタの大動脈を用いた大動脈弓置換を実証しました。最初の頃に比べると、ずいぶん成長したと思います。
Yesterday, our aortic surgeons did a wet lab with the residents and nurses. We demonstrated aortic arch replacement using a pig’s aorta. I think I have grown up a bit compared to when I was an initial resident.

延期になっていた大動脈解離シンポジウムが11月12日に開催されることになりました。大島医師が”胸腹部大動脈瘤 -慢性大動脈解離における広範囲拡大例への手術”の発表をさせて頂きます。
The Aortic Dissection Symposium, which was postponed due to the pandemic, will be held on 12 November. Dr. Oshima will be presenting on “Thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms – surgery for extensive enlargement in chronic aortic dissection”.
今日は台湾の医師と国際会議を行いました。大動脈手術についてお互いの方法や考え方を確認しました。通常の会議ではできない深い議論ができ、大変有意義でした。この会議は毎週行っています。
Today we had an international conference with Taiwanese doctors. We confirmed each other’s methods and ideas on aortic surgery. It was very meaningful to have in-depth discussions, which we cannot do at ordinary conferences. This conference will be repeated every week.
2日連続の緊急re-do基部置換術。大変な症例でしたが、無事に終了。明日もハードなケースが続きますが頑張ります。
Emergency re-do aortic root replacement for two consecutive days. These were tough cases, but we got it over with. Tomorrow will be other hard cases, but we will do our best.
日本での開腹手術の成績は良好です。腹部大動脈瘤の手術には、大動脈手術の重要な要素がすべて含まれていると思います。
Presentation on the treatment of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms. The results of open surgery in Japan are good. I think the operation for abdominal aortic aneurysms contains all the important elements of aortic surgery.
